Oral diagnosis is the process of meticulously examining the entire mouth of the patient who visits the dentist for the solution of dental and gum problems. The most accurate oral diagnosis is made for the patient with a general oral examination, intraoral examination and post-X-ray examination. In patients with dental cavities in the oral structure, it is very important to take radiographs of the teeth in order to make an accurate diagnosis, especially in tissues such as teeth, jawbone and gums.
Following the patient's visit to the dentist, at first the patient's expectations from dental treatment are learned. A general oral examination is performed by specialized dentists and panoramic x-rays showing the tooth and jaw structure are taken. After the planned dental treatment and possible results are shared with the patient in detail, treatment is recommended. After the X-ray, the best diagnosis is made and a patient-specific treatment plan is made. Possible tooth cavities, gum recession, caries, calculus, bacterial plaque, fistulas, deformed teeth and jaw bite are evaluated as a whole. The patient is directed to the relevant department so that the necessary treatments can be performed in the most accurate way.
Oral diagnosis is applied to individuals who apply to the dentist due to tooth, jawbone, gum problems, etc. The entire oral examination of the patient is performed meticulously and the most accurate oral diagnosis is made after X-ray. Patients who come to the dentist for treatment should be asked whether they have complaints such as heart, vascular, blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, allergies, hormonal disorders and if so, what medications they use regularly. These and similar conditions change the treatment method and the medications to be used in the treatment. In the oral diagnosis and radiology clinic, the patient's full medical history should be questioned and dental treatment should be planned accordingly.
In the case of a cavity in the patient's oral structure, radiography of the teeth is preferred in order to make the most accurate diagnosis, especially in tissues such as teeth, jawbone and gums.
Oral Diagnosis can be performed in any season. There is no specific season for Oral Diagnosis.
Since oral diagnostic procedures consist of general oral examinations and x-rays, there is no serious pain. If our patients act in accordance with the recommendations of our dentists, they go through this process without any problems.
