1) REGULAR RHINOPLASTY

• OPEN RHINOPLASTY

However, it's important to note that the nasal tip may experience temporary numbness after the procedure. Open rhinoplasty is a commonly performed technique, which means that finding a qualified and experienced surgeon may be easier compared to closed rhinoplasty.

• CLOSED RHINOPLASTY
Closed rhinoplasty is a procedure where small incisions are made on the inside of the nostrils, resulting in minimal scarring that is mostly internal. This technique offers several advantages, including a shorter time in surgery and a less involved procedure compared to open rhinoplasty. One of the key benefits is that there are no external scars involved in the process, which can be a significant consideration for many individuals. Additionally, closed rhinoplasty generally has a shorter recovery time, although bruising may be similar to that of open rhinoplasty. 2) SEPTORHINOPLASTY

Septorhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that addresses both cosmetic and functional concerns of the nose. It involves changing the shape, size, and contour of the nose, as well as correcting a deviated septum. This surgery is beneficial for individuals who experience breathing difficulties, as it helps to alleviate blockages and improve airflow. Additionally, septorhinoplasty aims to enhance the overall appearance of the nose, restoring facial harmony and balance.

3) REVISION RHINOPLASTY

Revision rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to correct and enhance the results of a previous nose surgery. It involves techniques such as reshaping the nostrils and improving the structure of the nose. The surgery can be done using either an open or closed technique, depending on the specific corrections needed. Cartilage grafts or implants may be used to improve the overall structure of the nose. The specific techniques used during revision rhinoplasty will be tailored to address the specific concerns and goals of each individual patient.

Rhinoplasty post-op care

• • After surgery you should rest in bed with your head elevated higher than your chest as this will help to reduce both bleeding and swelling.
• • Do not put ice packs or cold packs on your nose after surgery.
• • It is normal for your nose to be congested and swollen after surgery and sometime thereafter.
• • Slight bleeding and drainage of blood and mucus is quite common for a couple of days after the procedure. Your surgeon may adhere some gauze to the underside of your nose and direct you to change it at regular intervals. When you reapply the gauze to the area make sure that you do so lightly.
• • The splint and dressings that the surgeon has placed in and on your nose are removed 7 days after the operation.
• • You will experience some swelling and blackening around your eyes for 2-3 weeks after surgery.
• • The swelling of the nose takes a lot longer and in most cases it will be up to a year before all swelling has disappeared revealing the final result
• • Reducing sodium in your diet will help any swelling to go away faster.
• • For 4-6 weeks after the operation avoid strenusous activities such as sport.
• • While the bandages are still in place you should avoid having a shower; instead try taking a bath.
• • Do not blow your nose.
• • Eat food which is high in fiber such as fruit and veg so that you do not get constipated.
• • Avoid making facial expressions such as smiling and laughing.
• • Brush your teeth slowly and careful so that you limit the movement of your upper lip.
• • Wear clothes that fasten from the front and avoid clothes that require you to put them over your head
• • Do not rest glasses or sunglasses on the bridge of your nose for at least a month after surgery.
• • Avoid direct sunlight and if you can’t, make sure you wear suncream as it may cause discolouration to your nose’s skin.

Liposuction

As we age, lose weight or after we give birth, we may find certain pockets of fat are harder to remove than others through exercise and diet alone.
