The first problem that comes to mind when talking about the ear is the prominent ear problem. It can be defined as an angular problem in relations of the ear cartilages with each other and with the head. Generally, it is recommended to be done at the age of 5-7 before starting school,where the ear cartilage has largely completed its development.The aim is to retract the ear to its normal posture and position.Over-growth of ear hole or complete tearing can also be eliminated by a short procedure under local anesthesia.
TIt can be performed under general or local anesthesia according to the age of the patient. It is made via incision behind the ear and this scar is not visible from outside.Reformations are made in ear cartilages and it gets supported by permanent stitches if necessary.
